Actinic Keratoses

Actinic keratoses (AKs), also known as solar keratoses, are rough, scaly spots on the skin that develop from years of sun exposure. They're incredibly common, especially in adults over 40, and while they're usually not painful, they can be a sign of sun damage and a risk factor for developing skin cancer. Many people find AKs concerning due to their appearance. At DermaSpaMed, we understand the importance of early detection and treatment of actinic keratoses. We're dedicated to providing comprehensive care to help you maintain healthy skin and prevent the progression of AKs to skin cancer.
